Amount: $1,250

Form of payment: Payment is made to the educational organization of your choice

Deadline: Rolling (no deadline)

Qualifying institutions: Universities, colleges, institutes, private schools, vocational programs, etc. (must get prior approval for unaccredited institutions).

Qualifications: 

• No GPA requirement

• No religious or previous bible knowledge required

• No religious orientation required

How are the winners chosen?

1. Selected candidates must write a 3,000 – 4,000 word essay about the Gospel of John (must be able to back your essay with what is in the Gospel of John).
2. Selected candidates must do a question and answer format interview on passages read in the Gospel of John via online conference.
3. Selected candidates must then get 100% on a 25-question multiple choice exam (candidates can re-take this exam an unlimited amount of times).

I completed the scholarship process in the Fall of 2018 and received the scholarship the following school year.  While the scholarship took up a lot of time, it was definitely worth it in the end.  When I first heard about this scholarship, I was interested in the fact that it seemed almost impossible to not get it.  Yes, it did seem daunting at first with an essay, interview, and test, but the process was very relaxed and the people in charge of it were very helpful along the way.  While writing the essay, I would read a chapter and reflect on how the topics in it applied to my own life.  As I explained what was occurring in the book, I related it to personal experiences, and this helped me flow through the essay with ease.  By writing this essay, I was able to study the Gospel of John in a way that I had not prior to this scholarship.  I would recommend this scholarship to anyone who plans on attending college.  The people at JoshuaBaby have been so helpful during my transition to college and check up with me regularly to make sure things are going smoothly.  I think more people should apply for this scholarship because it is almost guaranteed and allows you to slow down and think about your life in a way you may not normally as a high school student.
