God is love and without love, you can’t be a Christian.  Without God you can’t be. It’s as simple as that, no matter how you put it.

Recently someone that I know said that it’s ok to be gay and that you can still be a Christian even if you are gay. She also said that the Bible might say otherwise but it was written by people not God.   That is not at all true because God and his Word are one.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

A Christian should be trustworthy.  As a Christian you can’t just follow only what you like in the bible and then create your own reasons why you should not follow the things that you do not like in the Bible. The Bible is holy, it is wrong to try to change it to fit you or your opinion.

“Don’t be arrogant”, is what my family always tells me.  When I was a little kid I didn’t understand why you shouldn’t brag. “You should only brag if you had something to brag about” is what I always said and thought.  Though now that I’m older and that I’ve been through more I realize what it means.

It means that if it wasn’t for God we wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything. It is from God that we get the ability to accomplish everything we do.

No matter what anyone thinks of this – it’s true.  God created us so without us being created we wouldn’t be able to do anything.  That’s why we have to always take the time to thank Jesus for everything he’s done for us.  

Although, just because nothing would happen if it wasn’t for God. We should make an effort and not expect him to come to our every beckon call. We have to work too and we have to follow Jesus’s commandments.  Jesus is not a genie. Even though Jesus is mighty and powerful we have to consider him and his feelings. Think about how he must feel when people just try to use him to get what they want.

Jesus can help us with a lot of things.  Though there’s some things we need to do before we can expect him to help us.  Jesus is not a magic lamp. He’s not a genie whose purpose is to grant all of your wishes.

In the Bible it says something along the lines ask Jesus for forgiveness and he’ll forgive.  Well I think there are conditions. How would you feel if someone keeps asking you for forgiveness yet they continue to do the same thing that they are asking for forgiveness about. You would probably think that this person is trying to play you.

If all we had to do was say a few words then off we go to heaven then everyone would go to heaven. I wish that everyone would go to heaven but if we all go to heaven without changing then heaven would just be like our current condition on earth.

If we want Jesus to forgive us, we have to really be sorry. We have to be sorry enough to change our ways and bring our lives up to God’s standards.We have to change or else we won’t have faith that he will forgive us if we never change.

My father always tells me that sin isn’t just the big things it’s the small things too.  Another thing that my dad always tells me is that everybody sins every human being sins. You can sin and you might not even know it.  My dad always tells me the little things matter one thing can loosen your faith in Jesus.

If you feel there’s something inside you missing Jesus can help you feel.  When I first became a fully devoted Christian I felt something like happiness, joy, relief all rolled up into one. It was wonderful like lemonade on a summer day.  

There’s a lot of things that show us that Jesus and the bible are true. For example his prophecies came true and also their is proof that Jesus existed.  Also prophecies of the bible came true. For example, in the bible a prophecy said that the moon will turn red.

The sun will be turned to darkness

   and the moon to blood

   before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord

Joel 2:31

The first blood moon occured in April 2014. Scientist try to come up with scientific reasons why. Scientist can’t explain the blood moon and they can’t explain Jesus. Only a few words can begin to communicate a fraction of who he is. Love is one of them. Jesus is love and in the bible it says everybody who fears is not made perfect in love.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 John 4:18

Jesus is loving, caring and he has or back. God is also our father and fathers have to discipline their children sometimes or else their children will run a muck. That’s why I think Jesus sometimes punishes people when they sin. All of this is my opinion.

When you look at the 10 commandments, or Jesus’ example the first thought that comes to your head is – well, this is going to be easy to follow. Well there’s 2 things I’m about to say. 1: It is easy to follow Jesus  2: It is not easy to follow Jesus.

If you think about it all you really have to do is trust and believe in Jesus and be a good person. That should be easy, right?

Well it is not that easy.

Temptations can be very strong and cause people to sin. For example, one of the 10 commandments is to not steal but if you see someone’s wallet drop on the ground and you’re in deep need of money it will be pretty hard to say no to your temptations and give the wallet back to the owner and not take it for yourself.

Temptation is something you have to overcome to become a Christian.  It might sound easy but it is really not. Even if you steal the smallest thing, no matter how much you need it or want it is still a sin.  

Being a Christian day in and day out is the opposite of easy.  By the way this is my own personal opinion.

Have you ever wondered why God doesn’t show himself to the world?

Christianity is Very challenging? Somethings can make you have doubts about Jesus. For example, when you ask for something and you don’t feel like your prayer is answered it can lead to doubt. Doubt is hard to control even when you try your best it’s still hard. 

That’s why Christianity requires you have to have a relationship with God. It’s like if you’re in a relationship with someone you know that they didn’t cheat on you because you’ve known them for a long time and know they wouldn’t do that. That’s how it’s like with God. Although it’s harder with God because you can’t see him. This  is why in other to be a Christian you have to have faith.

How on earth can you believe that God exists when you don’t even see him, you may ask? Faith is the answer to that question that’s what it takes to believe that God is real. Faith is very important to someone’s Christianity because you can’t be a Christian without believing that God is real. There’s a scripture in the Bible, that says ”…Faith, hope and Love but the greatest of these is Love” (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Jesus is love. You can’t be a Christian without Love. Treat other people how you’d want to be treated that’s love. Love is caring love is being kind but you shouldn’t let people use your love to take advantage of you. So in the midst of your love you have to use common sense.

 All of what I’m saying is just on my opinion on Christianity. You should try your best when something has to do with Jesus.

The thing about Christianity is that you can’t be a Christian without these two things: you have to have faith in God and you have to treat everyone else the way you would want to be treated.  

That’s what I started doing in my everyday life. I like to think of myself as someone who has extreme faith in God and I also try my best to treat others how I’d want to be treated. There’s a saying that I absolutely believe in.  If you’re not apart of the solution you’re apart of the problem.

For example if you see somebody that isn’t engaging in a conversation or if you see somebody lonely you should include them.  The thing about life is it might seem like you can’t do anything but you can make a difference in someone’s life including your own. Once I heard that a guy made a shaver because he didn’t have one and I wanted to be like him so since me and my sister both wanted a desk I created a desk I used our dresser for a leg a piano for another a whiter board and some extremely heavy books I made something out of the stuff I already had. I made a difference in my own own life.

I also became a solution to a problem a girl I knew. One day she was sitting alone so I decided to sit with her. I wanted to let her know that she is important. The truth is everybody on planet earth is important. Everything happens for a reason. One person causes something to happen and that can affect another person. If everyone wasn’t important then why would Jesus die on the cross for us?

Everybody can make a difference, young or old – anybody. You can even help someone become a Christian. You can make a difference in a big way with God with you.

When I was a kid my parents taught me day in and day out about Jesus Christ, the one and only God. I really didn’t listen to it that much. Once when we were reading the Bible it said anything can happen if you believe. My mom and dad said that if you pray, Jesus will help you. That sounded interesting to me. I was 5 years old and I prayed to become a fairy.

I wasn’t quite that smart but I really really wanted to become a fairy. I was into Tinkerbell a lot. I watched Git almost every second of the day, over and over and over again. Anyways when I prayed to Jesus I prayed for a long time. I prayed for like an hour and I believed I’d become a fairy the next day when I woke up. Of course I didn’t become a fairy and was extremely depressed about it. I did the same thing for a week and didn’t become a fairy. So I pretty much thought that God wasn’t real for about 4 years.

Again, I wasn’t that smart.

Then when I was 9 years old my parents got me a bible. They asked if I wanted one, I said yes because it looked like a cool book. That’s’ what changed my life.

When I first got it I didn’t read it for a year. Although during that year every bible study my family had I was interested in. Though I was missing some things.I didn’t fear God and I didn’t love him more than everyone else. I tried my best to do what I thought was right without actually reading the Bible. Then I was 10 almost 11 and I didn’t even know the 10 commandments.

I decided that I should read the Bible but it didn’t work out that well. I procrastinated and never got to doing it. Then after 5 months I realized that I really had to start reading the Bible or else I didn’t really know God at all and that’s when I started reading the Bible. At first I was reading 5 chapters a night starting at Genesis. I wanted to read it cover to cover. That’s when I really felt like I began to have a relationship with God. 

School wasn’t really that good for me. I didn’t get bullied but it was like I was invisible. I had no one to talk to. I was pretty smart, I got honors every semester so people just asked me for help with school work but other than that it was like no one noticed me. That’s also how I started making a relationship with God. When I was sitting down alone I thought about God. I thanked him for everything he had done for me. I talked to him and prayed that he helped all the kids at school because some of the kids were making fun of him. I didnt have the guts to stand up to them but I prayed for them. I started to talk o Jesus as if he were my friend and I loved him more than everyone else I knew.

He comforted me.

Soon though things got better I got friends and I had people to talk to but my relationship with God grew more and more. I started to fear God too. 

God has helped me a lot through my life everyday. I thank him like 100 times. He is my closest friend and my protector.
