Jesus can help us with a lot of things. Though there’s some things we need to do before we can expect him to help us. Jesus is not a magic lamp. He’s not a genie whose purpose is to grant all of your wishes.
In the Bible it says something along the lines ask Jesus for forgiveness and he’ll forgive. Well I think there are conditions. How would you feel if someone keeps asking you for forgiveness yet they continue to do the same thing that they are asking for forgiveness about. You would probably think that this person is trying to play you.
If all we had to do was say a few words then off we go to heaven then everyone would go to heaven. I wish that everyone would go to heaven but if we all go to heaven without changing then heaven would just be like our current condition on earth.
If we want Jesus to forgive us, we have to really be sorry. We have to be sorry enough to change our ways and bring our lives up to God’s standards.We have to change or else we won’t have faith that he will forgive us if we never change.
